This year, we’re celebrating life together, even while we’re apart. On Sunday, October 10, join us for a special virtual event bringing the transplant community together from near and far. Together, we’ll walk and run to honor organ and tissue donors, celebrate new life with recipients, support those waiting for a lifesaving transplant, and inspire others to say “yes” to donation.
STEP 1: Register to Walk or Run
Register online by September 25 to guarantee t-shirt size.
STEP 2: Download the Toolkit
Download our Virtual 5K Toolkit with templates and ideas to honor donors, celebrate recipients, and provide hope to patients waiting. This toolkit includes opportunities to:
- Design a printable Garden of Heroes sign with your loved one’s photo
- Create digital tributes and messages to share on social media
- Download logos and graphics to create your own customized t-shirts

STEP 3: Packet Pickup
Team captains and individual registrants can pick up t-shirts at our drive-by pickup on
Oct. 8 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mid-America Transplant Parking Lot (1110 Highlands Plaza Drive East, Suite 100, St. Louis, MO 63110).
Staff will follow social distancing protocol to ensure your safety. Packets that are not picked up on the above date will be mailed in the weeks following the virtual race.
STEP 4: Join the Facebook Group
We encourage all registrants, especially Team Captains, to join our Celebrate Life 5K Facebook Group. Join us here for access to weekly Celebrate Life 5K Run/Walk updates. It’s important to join the Facebook Group to gain access to special 5K updates, donation stories, and conversations in the weeks leading up to the event.
STEP 5: Spread the Word
Help us spread the word about donation and transplant by inviting your friends and family to join the Celebrate Life Virtual 5K. Customizable graphics and messages are available in our Virtual 5K Toolkit.
STEP 6: Race Day
Race day is Sunday, October 10! Walk or run at home, in a park, or wherever you feel safe and comfortable. Along the way, share photos of your journey and race day swag using the #CelebrateLife5K hashtag. Tagged photos and videos will be eligible for the Celebrate Life Spirit Awards. Details for awards can be found in our Virtual 5K Toolkit.

Mid-America Transplant is focused on strengthening our communities by not only serving as the link between patients awaiting organ and tissue transplants and those who donate, but also as a community based resource providing education and bereavement support.
