Loving Husband and Father Touched Many Lives
My husband, Todd Funke, passed away February 25, 2017 in Rolla, MO while attending registration and orientation for our only child, our son Kyle who is attending University of Missouri Science & Technology. Our day started off with lots of excitement but ended up being the darkest day of our lives. He collapsed during lunch. School paramedics, ambulance paramedic and the doctor and staff at the ER at Phelps County Regional Medical Center tried for 55 minutes to bring him back but sadly we lost our “rock” and best friend, loving husband and father that day.
We were notified shortly after his death that one of his eyes went to someone in Kansas and the other one went internationally. They were also able to use tissue. My husband was the most loving, caring, patient man I know. He was a gentle giant and touch more lives that I could have ever imagined. His visitation had over 400 people that all wanted to let Kyle and I know how Todd touched their lives and brought them a smile on a bad day. He gave the best hugs, and not a day went by that Kyle and I didn’t know how much he loved us. We were so blessed.
