My husband, John had Marfan Syndrome. After two valve replacements, his heart betrayed him. In January 2018 he began to get ill again. He was admitted to the hospital and released. There was not a lot they could do for him. Seven days later, he went into cardiac arrest at home and passed away on January 24th, 2018 at 46. I am proud to say that out of this grief and tragedy; John’s legacy was able to live on. He was a generous person and his final act of kindness was being an organ donor.
