Charles was our son. He was a very giving young man, who enjoyed helping others. Who enjoyed music, volunteering, playing video games and drawing. Who knew how to keep you smiling and laughing at whatever little dance or joke he was trying to say or do. So, it was no surprise to me that when he earned his driver's license, he wanted to be a donor. He and I both registered at the same time. One evening after bringing me home from chemo, he decided to go visit his girlfriend at her job at a fast food restaurant. Here is where Charles' new journey began. It was a strange accident in the drive thru. When we received the call, we had no doubt what Charles wanted us to do next. We are so very blessed and proud to have been the parents to our wonderful son. Charles was truly a helper to others. We can see the proud smile on his face knowing he could still help others. This was our son, Charles Seymour Wood, Jr.
