My husband passed suddenly at the age of 33 in our home. He was larger than life itself, and so was his heart. He loved spending time with me and our three children. We went camping all the time in our trailer. He loved to BBQ and drink Bud Light. He was also a master of maintaining the campfire. We camped two weeks before his passing, and man did we have a great time, not knowing that would be our last camping trip as a family. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone that needed it. My husband was a big man, when I say big, he was the number one defensive tackle in the nation. I received a letter in December 2019 from a young man who received my husbands tissue almost one month to the day that he passed. His donation has made it possible for this young man to walk again and play the sports he loved so much. If he only knew that his donor was a beast on the football field!! He will forever be missed by me and our children. I often look at pictures and wonder how did I get so lucky to be married to such a handsome man? He was our rock, protector, provider and one of the best husbands and fathers anyone could ask for. God chose to take him that Wednesday morning on 7/24/19, and I cannot understand why. He was so young and had so much more life to live, but God had other plans for him. My husband passed away due to his heart, and we had been unaware that he had any heart issues. The “widow maker” is what took him and took him quickly while he was asleep according to the medical examiner. That day will forever be etched in my mind, finding my husband deceased is something that no wife should ever have to go through. He passed away knowing how much he was loved and in his own home. I’m thankful that we weren’t traveling with a 33 foot trailer on the back of our SUV because that could have ended all of our lives including the lives of others, and glad he wasn’t at work. Brandon, we miss you daily, we cry when we talk about you and all the memories we had over the past 12 years. God blessed us all to be a part of your life. We will meet again my love, and until then know I will love you for a thousand years.
