We lost my beloved brother in January of 2019. After fighting for his life for multiple days, we were faced with the reality that he was not getting better. Both my mom and dad made the decision no parents ever want to or thinks of making. While sitting with the doctors discussing the possibilities, they decided to donate his organs if at all possible. After making that decision, we all sat as a family and prayed with him and took the most honorable Walk of Life as a family by my brothers side. We stood by his side in the operating room as he took his last breath. Minutes later, we had to leave so they can begin the procedure.
I am so proud to say my baby brother saved two lives with the donation of both of his kidneys. So he may not be here physically, but we know he will forever live on. He truly is our superhero!
