My husband, Justin, spent his life working to make the world a better place. He was a pillar in our community, always finding ways to give to others in fun, entertaining ways. I was beyond humbled by the stories that were shared about his generosity and grace and how his kindness had touched others. When he died, suddenly, from a pulmonary embolism he was able to make one final contribution to others by being an organ donor- his greatest contribution, the gift of life, in his death. He was able to donate his liver, kidneys, pancreas, and heart, as well as corneas, skin, and bone.
Justin was the most involved, patient father to our 2 children. And, together for over 26 years, was the most loving, dedicated husband. He was a great friend and his absence in this world will be felt for a lifetime. Knowing he was able to give life in his death is the culminating good deed to his very beautiful life.
